Over the weekend, I was not able to narrow down my possible topics to just one (although I didn't exactly try), so, I will be posting about another possible topic. Something that I've always noticed is how expensive medications, organic foods, and even just "healthy" produce and other foods are. We're expected to buy these things on a regular basis, but not everyone can afford such commodities, which is why I think a project on the cost of being healthy is very relevant to today's society.
I totally agree with this. A lot of kids these days are getting obese from going to mcdonalds and other fast food places because they are cheaper then the healthy food places and quicker.
Cool topic that is loosely related to mine. However, you might need to specify on this one. One big problem will be defining health (a very ill defined term). Medications often have plenty of side effects and are necessary when someone is unhealthy. So you could go with either the cost of being healthy as in trying to keep from falling apart with pills or as in being healthy enough to not need them.

This is a really good idea because it has an impact on all of us, and will continue to be a controversial issue because of the different economic statuses of each family and society and how that is related to the food, medicine and other advantages each person is able to get, and eventually comes back to their health.

Totally agree with John. People's ideas of a "healthy diet" vary depending on where they live, their cultures, ect. However, being healthy does come with a cost in any case because good food simply costs more. Maybe tie this project to a more local setting, which would involve researching the costs of local food in our area and comparing it to food that contains "unhealthy" ingredients. Again, make sure you define "healthy" before you get too carried away with your research.

I totally agree with this. This topic is very relevant in today's society since unhealthy foods are much cheaper than health ones. If you do choose to use this for your topic then you might want to narrow it your topic down into something more exact.

Great topic! Eating healthy is definitely a high-priced lifestyle, but is there something you would specifically focus on within this topic because this topic is quite broad. Again, great idea!
